From colour-fast check to finished rug
Colour-fast check
Every rug is checked first to ensure its dyes are stable before anything is applied.
Method matched to fibre
The cleaning process is chosen for your rug type: steam cleaning, low-moisture encapsulation, or specialist solutions.
Deep fibre cleaning
Solutions and conditioned hot water are injected deep into the fibres, agitating dirt loose, then extracted by powerful vacuums.
Stain removal
A range of solutions matched to the stain type, removing the stain completely or as much as physically possible.
Sanitising available
Powerful anti-microbial treatments remove odours and leave rugs clean and fresh, on request.
Dried and finished
Rugs are dried properly and left soft, clean and residue-free.

Honest answers about rug care
Can you clean rugs on hardwood floors?
No. Any water-based method risks lasting damage to timber. We clean rugs on carpets or on a garage floor instead.
Will you move furniture?
Light furniture is no problem. Insurance restricts us from moving heavy pieces, so please arrange that before we arrive.
Do you repair rugs?
We specialise in rug cleaning, stain removal and protection. Minor fringe and binding repairs are available at Flooring Design, Featherston Street, Palmerston North. For specialist oriental rug repairs we recommend Anna Williams at rugrepairs.co.nz (Wellington).
